The first chapter

The only thing you have knowledge about in the first chapter is that a gunslinger is chasing someone. The author just describes the surroundings around the gunslinger, so we understand that this is in a desert. The reader does not know anything and it’s the feeling of not having a clue on what is going on that is really dragging the reader into the book. There is only the feeling of a chase. We don’t know why he is chasing someone or who he is chasing. You can feel the tension building up to something, but you don’t know what.

I’m really excited to continue reading.
